Standard mtg tourney rule, really. Players are entitled to know which cards the opponent bring as well as his/her discarded pile and plan for it accordingly.

When clicked on the card icons, you are shown the character pad of that player, focused on the character. Discarded cards are darkened in the card pile at the bottom. This either doesnt work in SP or, because monsters dont have equipments, show only cards and leave the equipment panel blank.

Bumpity bump. I dont really keen on counting cards in my head.

Card Hunter is not a MTG tourney.

A quick way to view only cards which had been discarded by a player could be helpful if attempting to deduce what they might have in hand now - as discards are already given knowledge in the battle log - but I'd consider it a very low priority feature ...

I thought that magic rule was there because there are cards that can let people draw from graveyards

Well MTG cards have rounded corners. Why do we cut off those bits just like them, then? Doesnt influence the game one bit. Jokes aside, they didnt decide that rule arbitrarily, it's so players can make plans accordingly. Just like any games of SKILL should.

That's a pretty new ability (relatively) IIRC. Beside, players know what go into the graveyard anyway so...

You can sort of know which cards they have by viewing which items the cards coming from when their cards come to play. Not the entire deck, but these guess makes quite a difference, especially in weapon (6 card) slot.

That's not a good substitute. The whole point of providing the card list is so each players can make plans before they engage.

This would be a great way to slow down every game with analysis paralysis. Possibly if there are ever serious tourneys, but please don't do this to everyday ranked MP games.

Also, not initially knowing what an opponent's deck contains provides half of the bluffs and meta-gaming that adds another layer of strategy to the first few rounds. If you want to plan vs a known opponent, the campaign's right there. PvP is designed for a different experience.

I voiced my take on a similar issue early in the beta. No offense but this is the kind of idea that benefit bots more than humans.

Since when inaction "bluff"? It's like I'm expected to be screaming and cowering whenever someone move toward me on the street because he just might be carrying knives. Jokes aside, there're many ways to counter one's deck, if your so called "bluff" a valid component of strategy then frankly the only wise move is not to play. Oh wait, that has already happened, both sides pass expecting whirlwinds.

Frankly if someone can get beaten by bots in games like this they totally deserve it.

Its not about bot playing, its about bots farming. Intentionally tanks rating and farm gary or low ranking player.

Another problem is using bots to analyze during match. This will slow down the pacing, and generally annoying in general.

How's that any different to what going on now?

Analyze what? Probability of cards coming up? Oh we have something like that before, it's called advanced chess and as far as some nobody called Kasparov go, it's the best thing since sliced bread. Totally something we should dismiss.

Sure, just give me access to her cheating cards.

You're the one claiming no one should ever lose to a bot. She's a bot.

Why not suggest playing with open hands instead? Talk about game of skill.

With special custom cards. We both clearly do understand what I say i.e. bots playings in place of humans. Twisting words to suit your pointless argument goes no where.

It's already somewhat implemented. you can go with a 3 elf party and cast Elvish Insight rounds after rounds. You dont even have to reveal your hand to boot! But err that has nothing to do with long term strategy so to be honest I dont advocate it.

Such a trollfest, I'm sorry to say. There's so much bluffing going on - you never know if your opponent has parry, now show me his deck and suddenly half of the bluffs I don't even care about anymore, since now I know that his priest doesn't have any parry in his deck :) I should be more of a nice guy, but in case of this thread I'm simply killed by this conversation.

It would be nice to have an easy way of checking all the discards.

How's doing nothing and expect something "bluff" beyond me. Successfully persuading your opponent to move then shove lava up his behind is bluffing (also, SKILL). Expecting your opponent to pass because he cant tell if your wiz have more volcano on hand then he does movement cards in his deck is just derp. I've in fact never seen any games like that. Even extremely luck-based and guess-based games like mahjong put some expectation.
