I think it would be nice to have some extra visual feedback that you are discarding a card, as opposed to playing it. This could be really simple like changing the color of the card as you mouse over it, or maybe putting a red "X" over it. It's only really an issue if i'm distracted and not paying close attention, but a few times already i've accidentally discarded a card that I thought i was playing, and this feels terrible to do.

    Thanks for considering!

While not a massive problem it definitely doesn't hurt in any way so i wouldn't mind seeing it at some point.

I'd like to add something to this thought.
When you get a lot of cards in a hand, they begin to scrunch together. As the hand's size is reduced, they spread out.
It's a pretty classy looking effect, but it creates a real problem for me when I get to a discarding phase.
I'll be told to discard down to two cards, and in my excitement to get on with it, I begin quickly clicking my obvious choices while saving the good stuff I want to reserve for the next round.
Inevitably, about halfway through this process the hand of cards notices that it's size has been reduced, and begins shifting around on me, usually with a little bit of lag making the whole effect feel all the more sudden when it begins. The result is that my keepers are throwing themselves under the bus and getting discarded right as I click in a spot that was originally held by the card I wanted rid of.
It's like I need aim-assist turned on for discard phases whenever my hand gets too large.
I'd really prefer it if the card-spreading effect didn't occur until all discard selections had been made.

I agree. I've made the same mistake myself.

Totally agree on that card-shifting problem during discard.

For general "discard" vs. "play" visuals: yes, I've made the same mistake myself, but they've already separated the "discard phase" from "normal play" by the passage of time. It's really my fault for zoning out so badly that I missed the turn end. Still, if they DID apply a visual indicator, it could be used during Leadership as well.

That's a good point. There's a couple other cards that also ask you to discard when not in the discard phase, like Forward Thinking, and I've been wondering how intuitive the interface will look when I "Keep one card and discard the other". So, when I click, am I clicking on my keeper, or the discard? I've been reluctant to find out...
