[Suggestion] Need higher level weapons like Staff of Defence/Turquiose Staff

I'm running control/pushback MP deck where wizard uses Staff Of Defence and Turquoise Staff (both low-level commons) as well as winds of war/tk to control points and push enemies (or, if situation permits, my own dwarf) into position using Force Bolt, Simple Bash and Maze.

It works great, 80% of time i draw at least one pushback, and once planted on good spot wizard becomes really hard to uproot, easily countering multiple advances with pushbacks.

But... there are no wizard weapon drops that can replace them... There are no weapons that have Force Blast (which would be obvious "upgrade" path for Force Bolt), and there is exactly one Legendary weapon with Force Cone.

    Shouldn't there be some? :)

    Edit: fixed card/item links

(just a heads-up, those links don't work - there's a an item tag for items, a card tag for cards and the wiki tag is for everything else).

There's Mullik's Blisterstaff, which I have - which would be good for control as you mention. Another control technique that could be good are stone & illusionary walls.

Things to look out for: Boxton's Razorstaff, Sorcerer's Staff, Wallbuilder's Staff. Currently have 0.

Mullik's Blisterstaff is that one and the only legendary weapon. The rest are for different purpose.

The point of Force Bolt here that you can add step moves to your or enemy team on demand with right positioning. Move your dwarf just that one step closer so that he can reach escaping human. Low damage on Force Bolt/Force Blast helps; you can also easily run sets with Squeamish because you almost never kill anyone with wizard.

Ah, Whiterune Staff is good, yes. :)

My current deck runs 4 winds of war, no drops with more yet.

You know, I totally agree it would be cool with a few high-end defensive staves.

One thing, I am wondering about your build, though: how do you counter the warriors with tons of step 4 attacks?

Pretty much positioning the squishy wizard behind the meat shield warrior.

Usually he gets pushed back with Simple Bash/Force Bolt after running toward wizard. My chances of having more pushbacks then he has step attacks are pretty high, and in worst case elven wizard usually can outrun them too. Problems do arise when they use spears or proc cards with "block any" (or melee blocks for bashes).

But for extra mobility my human priest runs Run, Team! and four Entangling Roots, while dwarf runs Dash, Team! + Scuttle, Team! as well as Muscle Through for clutch saves/win square clearing. Sometimes wizard also runs Violent Spin.

Usual perfect combo looks like Entangling Roots, Winds Of War (on both friendlies and enemies as needed), then dwarf chops at target at his leasure, otherwise wizard just plinks at enemies knocking them off win squares/attack positions.
