Despite having discussed it before here on the forums, I am still not quite clear on how the item pricing in shops relates to (what I think is) "maximum achieved player level" and what that means for when an item is at its lowest possible price. I've been searching the wiki, but came up empty. Maybe someone could make an article there?
The base price of any item is determined by its rarity. Common items are 5 gold, uncommon are 25, rare are 100 etc. This price is then multiplied by how much higher the level of the item is than the level of your most experienced character. If the item is level 15 and your characters are level 12, the item price will be [15-12=] 3x higher (eg. 15 gold for commons). The lowest possible price for an item is reached when your characters are one level below the item (for a level 15 item, your character is level 14 or over) after which it will always cost the base price.
Thank you for the reply, but the prices quoted in that thread are way off from what is in the game at the moment.
There is currently a bug with shop prices, might be what's causing the issue - when it's checking lower level characters in a second party or something. Probably resolved next build.
