....that my estimates a couple of weeks ago were off concerning the beta sign-ups and what-not. It's also getting closer to a whole month with practically no info. Can we have a hint as to the state of the game and beta, please? You're driving us up a tree here.
One word: Xcom. CH is scheduled to release early 2013 so I never expected beta to start any time soon anyway.

We forgive your unsightly use of the phrase "couple of weeks" instead of the more accurate "temporal unit marked by the expansive death of the sun and the gradual incineration of the inner planets before a vast darkness and coldness envelopes the cinders that remain." And I can't play XCOM, because apparently I need a horrendous new version of Windows which I would rather not buy. Stupid DirectX.
I'm still with WinXP myself. The devs only said WinXP isn't supported, not that it wouldn't work outright. I've been playing Warlock on my six-year-old machine (albeit with an annoying CTD bug) so I'm taking a chance with Xcom. =P
Best of luck. For me, it doesn't work outright. Also, best of luck on the game being any good. I got to play the demo on a different computer, but I still have a lot of questions about actual game content that haven't been answered.

Beta was mentioned about a year ago, so the hope it was coming before they say "join up for access to beta starting XXXXXXX" is one dang long wait. Hopefully it is in a beta testing state in the next few weeks, can't wait to see more of this neat twist on card games.
