I've been having issues with the Hard To Block attribute. I just played a campaign match against some monkeys and I played Mighty Spark which has "Hard To Block 2" on it. All the monkeys had was two of the cards (can't remember the name) which gives them the chance to draw a card when targeted and also a Monkey Armor (2 armor +4 roll). Both of the draw cards failed and when it came time to roll for the armor, they rolled a 6 which did not decrease. I understand that even if it had, it would still block as the 6 would drop to a 4. I've also had a similar problem with Tricky Stab which has "Hard To Block 3". I was fighting some trees and the only thing they had was some armor that had +4 roll on it. With a HTB 3, the highest possible score they could roll is a 3 yet I consistently saw 4s & 5s. Any idea if Hard To Block is being glitchy or if I'm missing something. Thanks
Hello, welcome to the forums! Hard to Block only affects block cards. These are the cards with green backgrounds, accompanied by the keyword Block. See, for example, the card Block. Armour cards, such as Monkey Mail or Solid Wood, have a grey background and are not affected by Hard to Block. Likewise boosts, such as the monkeys' Quick Reflexes, with their orange background are unaffected by Hard to Block. In short, if a card has a green or half-green background it should be affected by HtB. If it doesn't, then it shouldn't. Hope that makes sense.
It makes sense, thank you. I think what had me confused was that I had seen HTB supposedly activate on a normal armor card before but after looking at some of the other threads what probably happened was a card in the opponent's hand actually caused the drop in armor roll.
