Has anyone else had the problem with their human Warrior not gaining experience or after leveling not gaining equipment slots or power ups? I am doing quests close to my levels, and now my other characters are surpassing it.
As people mentioned in your previous thread, there are a couple things to check before calling a lack-of-XP-gain a "bug." First, "quests" are not the same thing as "adventures," and currently give no XP. "Quests" are special "challenge" missions which you only unlock later in play. You're doing normal adventures instead, right? Second, are you SURE your Warrior gained ZERO XP? Then check this chart and see if it sounds likely: It's easy to get things to overlap funny such that a lower-level character passes a higher-level character. Take a look and see if that happened. Next, though, you specifically say a lack of new slots or power tokens. You wouldn't happen to be at level 15, would you? Because a power token changes color at that point. You should always get something.
Sir Knight, this was the initial response the the first thread: I did mention that there were diminishing returns, but lvl 8 doing lvl 7 shouldn't have an issue. Also it's supposedly only affecting one character. That sounds buggy.
Okay, then it's time to pin down more information. Because it's possible for a lower-level character to pass a higher-level character, it's necessary to see if it's just a matter of misperception: to see if it just LOOKED like the Warrior gained zero XP because, after all, coyotwaits wasn't expecting this to happen. coyotwaits, how is your gameplay right now? Then there're item slots and power tokens. When a Warrior reaches level 8, he or she gets a power token but no new slot: http://wiki.cardhuntria.com/wiki/Warrior However, a Priest or a Wizard DOES get a new slot: http://wiki.cardhuntria.com/wiki/Priest http://wiki.cardhuntria.com/wiki/Wizard (The difference is that Warriors have one more Weapon slot than the others, and Weapons have six cards instead of three, so in order to ensure equal deck size the Warrior has fewer total slots to unlock.) Again, it's necessary to see if we're talking misperception: coyotwaits, do your characters have the number of slots and power tokens that the wiki says they should? Power tokens are here and appear uniformly for all classes: http://wiki.cardhuntria.com/wiki/Power_Tokens So far, I'd guess that everything is just perception; and coyotwaits, not being sure what words to use to describe the issue, made it sound like absolutely nothing was happening when in fact the normal (small) advancements were made.
So just a little update, I played again yesterday and the human warrior is now gaining experience again along with the other characters in the party. Also when I gained a level, everything was caught up. i.e. now that I am level 9 all of my stats match what a level 9 character should look like. It still looks like a bug, since everything stopped advancing for a while.
