[Suggestion] Nerf the 'no damage taken' cards?

There are 2 cards in particular I keep running into: Impenetrable Something(the one where the carrier takes no damage for 1 round), and the other, I totally forget the name, but the art has a dwarf on it, and I believe he's ducking or something(It says something like, "If you were to take damage, take no damage. Draw a card.". I apologize for having such a terrible memory. I hope you guys know which cards I'm talking about. There may be more like this, I don't know, but these are the 2 I know for sure exist.

Anyway... Do you guys feel these are a little OP? I mean, NO damage whatsoever? Why not stop anything 7-8 damage or under instead? At least then the terrain cards under the character will do something. I've fought a few dwarf teams who abuse the **** out of these cards and it's really annoying. Dwarfs are already bulky enough and it's just a pain in the ass when they use these cards all the time and basically make it so you can't do anything at all in terms of damage.

I feel they should be nerfed a bit. You guys may not agree, but these are my thoughts about it.

The cards you're thinking of are Impenetrable Nimbus as well as Toughness (flexing dward as artwork). The ducking dwarf is Duck - and that is quite different - and no, I don't agree as I believe these cards just scale better. However, it seems your issue is more with dwarves having access to some of these cards than the actual cards themselves? If so, this has been discussed previously, that dwarven skills (rather than the actual cards) might slightly unbalanced.

Also Nimbus requires you bring a priest, that's quite a tradeoff for a class some people think is useless.

Both cards are fine. Impenetrable Nimbus might be OP against the AI since they will keep attacking into it regardless.

That might be what it is. Where's the thread about that? I'd like to see it. :)

Personally, I think any card that prevents all damage, except for block cards, is OP. It makes sense to block everything with block cards...they're block cards. But other cards, just doesn't make sense to me.

Toughness is actually an armor card and can be removed by armor removal cards et c (also, it just triggers once - just like a block). This is a card game, cards are supposed to work creatively, I'd say. If all cards were scales of do 1-10 damage or block 1-10 damage we'd be pretty bored...

Bored because of numbers? What's boring is not being able to do any damage because of cards like those.

Although, I will say that Toughness isn't too bad. It's the Impenetrable Nimbus card that really seems OP. No damage the whole round? No terrain damage, either? Come on.

Requires a specific class, the one that's least played - one that some people claim is useless. Not OP.

A few Nimbus cards + some Toughness cards + block cards + armor on an all dwarf team? At least a tad OP, if you ask me.

    It's not.

On the other hand, nimbus can be removed by cleanse, having multiple nimbus does no good and after you play nimbus the opponent can also choose to run or attack other characters.

You do realize you have can only have a limited number of these in any deck. If you max out the number of these you can get you are running a group of all dwarf priests who are putting all of their talent points into defense... which is likely to be very difficult to become competitive with at all.

it's actually a bit troublesome in the map with only one victory point, I have a dwarf that I can easily arm with sprint shoes, and 2 immovable, and a priest that can easily get 4 nimbus (I have the items in my inventory) I can see how this could turn very cheesy combination on that map.
though these are usually solved by buff removal and general stuff like that.
but except with that map I don't generally think that those cards are THAT op, there are several ways to deal with them, and they don't last.
EDIT:Though the above does depend very much on luck draws

Guess nobody agrees. I personally feel like the only cards that should be able to block all damage are block cards, but I guess that's just me. Oh well. This thread can die. :)
