Hey guys, I just hit level 10 and I got my second legendary drop.

    It's Duncan's Chain Cap: http://wiki.cardhuntria.com/wiki/Items/Duncan's_Chain_Cap

Am I crazy or is this card not very good? Best case scenario you get two of them and have an armor 2, keep at a roll of 3+ (which is essentially a Hardy Mail card.)

Just wanted to see if I'm missing something, cause right now the 100 gold is looking better than this helm.

Best case you can have 2 of those - and draw armor during the round, making them affect them as well. A very powerful card, but scales with what you get on hand. Also items usually scale up to higher rarities when it gets triples of cards - so yeah, maybe not the best legendary, but a very good helmet if you're looking for armor for that slot.

Chain Harness? That thing's actually incredible, in my opinion. With just one of them Heavy Armor will never fail. Hardy Mail and Thick Hide Armor succeed 83% of the time (instead of 67%). Spiked Mail succeeds 67% instead of 50%.

It makes any armor you own significantly better. Sure, it still won't be a terrific armor card itself, only average, but the value is in how it modifies your other, better armor cards.

    Two things.

Chain Harness is a fair armor card, but makes your other armor better.

Why I think the item is better then you think, is that it's giving you 3 of these armor cards on a helm. This makes it consistent, and it also leaves you free choice over whatever heavy armor you want to equip. This with some good armor could make for one heck of a tank build.

The best case scenario is you draw one of them and one Heavy Armor from the Plate Mail (or other item that provides Heavy Armor cards) you're wearing. Then you have Heavy Armor that never fails (barring an enemy action that gives you penalties to armor rolls). Or, admittedly this only lasts until the next discard phase, you wind up with all three in your hand and have 3 instances of armor 2 that activates on a roll of 2 or higher.

Spiked mail only triggers on melee attacks - and the damage done by the armor doesn't count as that apparently (as it's passive - not an attack), so a spiked mail being hit with a spiked mail just causes the armor to activate the absorption part.

I absolutely love chain harness - you can think of it the same as Mail since it's armor 2 with a 50% chance (counting the plus 1 to armor rolls). Plus, like others have said, getting two of them to keep in your hand while you draw other armor is awesome.
