Maybe it's just my bad luck, but I've lost 5 out of my last 6 matches. I do reasonably well when I'm evenly matched, but I keep getting outclassed. It seems like I keep getting matched up with players 100-200 points higher than me (I'm only 875), and with much better gear. It's getting really frustrating.
I think that one of the problems is that I find a human player much harder to beat than an AI player, but beating the AI players keeps moving me up in rank. Now, I'm not sure what you can do about that because I don't think multiplayer is robust enough right now that you could sit at the lowest rank and have much chance at all of being matched with a human opponent but the problem of playing the AI advancing you to a rank beyond your skill seems to exist to me.
That problem will dissapear after the closed beta when theres more players and people would start to stack wins for the epic chest every day. Maybe a seperate rating for people vs people and people vs AI. Hmm a starting rating for PVP like 1000 and a reset every week with rewards to the top and matching people +/- 50 your actual rating. The player vs AI rating shouldnt reset maybe when theres significant changes with an update and would be nice if the AI would be a bit harder so it wont be so easy to win against.
Within reason obviously. My first few battles against humans I got curb stomped like I curb stomped that dragon in the tutorial. If people keep going down that hard in the first fight against Gary they aren't going to play multiplayer.
Yeah but if the AI fights are too easy a lot of people will only do those daily to save time, if theres no additional rewards for PVP theres no point in doing hard fights againts people if u can do 20th easy fights against AI and save time and get the reward.
