If i use shifty stab card in the way that i move in a way that after the move i cannot attack anyone then i have to surrender the battle. I cannot cancel the card i played (as far as i know, i am new to beta) and I cannot just give up the attack. Game is responding, but is waiting for attack which i cannot make, hence the problem.
Do you see a 'Done' button in the lower right corner ? or were there any of your party characters in range ? If so, you have to attack your allies in order to continue. http://www.cardhunter.com/forum/threads/frequently-asked-questions.2160/ If its not either case above, then a bug report will help (http://www.cardhunter.com/forum/threads/please-read-how-to-report-bugs.331/). Hope it helps.
I am sorry missed the button done in a right corner I was playing late and I was tired. Sorry for bother.
There is a done button sometimes, not always. Got the same bug a few minutes ago. I Assume you only want the relevant battle log. Also I moved into a location with no enemies or allies in the area. I was just trying to get closer. === CARD HUNTER CORE PC Client === Sat Jun 15 11:42:23 GMT-0400 2013 Sandbox Type: remote Version 0.6414 SFS Version: 1.1.6 BATTLE LOG: Scenario=Ruby Middle Ring,Room=RUDP (nengir),RoomID=53639,Player=nengir,Actor=Stokbok,Event=Move,Origin=(4, 4),StartFacing=(0, 1),Destination=(4, 5),EndFacing=(0, 1) BATTLE LOG: Scenario=Ruby Middle Ring,Room=RUDP (nengir),RoomID=53639,Msg=Player nengir must select targets
I think the problem is that when you can attack your own team member the button "done" is not there. Since attacking own players is kind of not logical or obvious it causes confusion. Nor do i understand why you can cancel attack if nobody is close to the attacker (so the attack CAN BE cancelled), but you cannot if your teammate is behind your back and you are forced to strike him ...
OK, so the issue here is that the game doesn't normally allow you to play an attack card and choose to attack no one. With step cards though, you play the card first, then move, then choose targets. So, at the time you choose targets, there may not be any valid targets. In that case, the attack just fails. However, if there is a valid target, you must choose it (since that's the logic that attack cards use). I really don't want to allow you to play cards with no target in the general case. I suppose we could make exceptions for Step cards and allow them to enable not choosing a valid target when the attack part is resolved.
