I've just been in the beta for about 48 hours and already I've seen some less than stellar behavior from randoms in multiplayer. Could we get some dev feedback on what sorts of penalties/repercussions will be in place for those who choose to engage in childish behavior? Also, is there a way to report players? I already ran into one player who had customized a draw card/heal deck which left the game in an endless loop. Since he was always able to draw new cards or play a spell and I had run out of actions he was constantly taking turns while I was left with no cards to play. I literally watched him go back and forth attacking and healing his own party members for about 5 mins before I got the message that he was, in fact trolling. It may seem trivial but it left me basically at his mercy to either ride out 40 mins of clicking "pass" or resign from the match. Nothing but rude.
There's been talking about social controls, reporting players et c. I'm sure these are all features sadly needed in a competative mp game, so I expect them to be be in at some point. As for now, no.
I disagree with your description of trolling, But otherwise good question. My personal beef is (theoretical) situation where opponent just stops playing after it's clear he's lost. Haven't happened to me, allthought once I suspectect such behaviour. Turned out opponent had 5 min break I missed due to chat problems.
It was me you played. I'm sorry it came across as trolling, but in fact i was just building up my setup for the mage. This takes about 7 minutes of drawing in order to set up and then he kills all your characters. I know it seems like a unfair tactic, but I'm still messing with the build to figure out if it's consistent enough to be considered op.
Did you actually say you were trolling him or is he making that up? Honestly tho having people take care of this endlessly is more work than its worth. Putt in auto pass and mute and the problems solved them self.
No i was definitely not trolling him, he is just assuming this because, as i described in the MP builds post, during the first 5 minutes of the fight, all this build does, is drawing cards, so i can see why he thought i was. If he had stuck around for another 2 minutes he would have seen how my mage finished him of. But i agree an auto pass OPTION, once you are out of cards would be nice.
Ugh, that sounds like a gross build. Kudos to you for looking into it. Edit: Just saw some complaints in chat. Not sure how often you can pull it off, but someone watched you cycle thru your deck twice and then kill him in the first turn. Good catch, sir!
Thanks, it's definitely very reliable. I have done tests with about 15 games and so far, half were round 1 wins and the other round 2 at latest (i know 15 is not a huge sample size, but given the fact that it's super annoying for the other player, i don't wanna scare away new players i have to limit the amount of times i try it out) .
