Kobold used shambling bash to step in and kill pc. Weirdly it correctly fired in the next game (although that was not from a moving attack)
Two things: Guardian Angel is a Block, and so (I believe) it requires Attacks to come from the front in order to count. Did that happen here? I see the enemy had Wimpy. This isn't very likely a problem, since that made the Attack weaker instead of stronger, but did your character happen to have the exact amount of health that the Attack dealt? The log looks like so. And, thus, if there's no other explanation (the Attack coming from behind), it could be a bug with the attachment interaction.
I had the problems with Guardian Angel too... I've got it into my character's deck today, and he was killed twice with this card in hand, while facing toward the enemy. It was a crushing damage from zombies' melee attacks.
Specifically, Zombie Mob? If so, that one has a modifier on the damage, and Guardian Angel might not have been able to identify that it would kill you when calculating the Block. Which is not very helpful for the player. Jon has said:
I think it was one of the bash cards, if I recall correctly... Also, while fighting undead I've noticed that if my character uses dodge to avoid cleave attacks, it still deals damage to him if it hits a second target too. But this is a different bug...
Yes, this one. Jon says it should be fixed in the next build. And on the Guardian Angel front, zombies don't have any kind of Bash: they don't try to push characters away. Did you mean Bludgeon? If you meant Infected Bite, well, the subsequent poison wouldn't trigger Guardian Angel. But you didn't say that, so I presume there's some other problem.
Well actually, muscled zombie (or whatever he called... the one with mustache) has bashes. And I was aware that this is a block card, it says "block any". But somehow I still got killing blows couple of times. And I am pretty sure that my character was facing toward the enemy. Anyway, I should keep attention on what exactly happened to give a proper bug report here... If i will notice the same again, I will describe in detail what happened. (I'm stuck on the levels with zombies because of this .)
There are definitely some issues with when damage totals are calculated relative to buffs activating and blocking. I'm planning to do a pass through all that stuff soon.
