    Fresh login:

Click campaign, go to armory, I have 12 gold. I have 2 blunt swords in inv, sell them to shop normally (16 gold now). Exit shop.

Go to multiplayer, click on chest shop. Viola, my 2 blunt swords have returned. Go back to campaign, go back to armory and I can re-sell them for gold (20 gold). Refresh and relog will reset the gold which tallies with latest server side fix. I just don't understand why it only (so far) happens for blunt swords and not other items.

    Note:

    a) I have a lvl2 and a lvl 1 char only, so campaign chest shops yet to appear.
    b) Selling other items from inv don't trigger this bug, only blunt swords. I'm guessing that its related to warrior default weapon.
    c) I can see the chest shop in mp because I moved my 2 chars into mp clipboard in the Keep.

I just tried to repro this but can't. Does this keep happening for you?

Yes. It was consistent and reproducible at the levels stated. I was still in the tutorial chain, ie, white skull canyon not yet completed state. iirc, there was a fix to prevent items from being sold when recruiting chars for the first time many moons ago.

I have a similar (?) bug related to selling items.

Wanting to hire a couple additional characters I sold off sufficient unwanted items and went to the Tavern. I had exactly 20 gold. I recruited a Human Warrior and a Human Wizard. I then moved to my Keep to rearrange and equip my party. Upon entering, the Wizard was not there. The new Warrior was, but the new Wizard was nowhere to be found. I relogged and looked again - suddenly I had nine (9) gold and still no Wizard. A Woodsman's Axe which I am certain I had sold was back in my inventory.

I sold the axe again, bringing me back to 10 gold, and went and tried to recruit the wizard again. Just like the previous time I then moved to my Keep, where I once again noticed that the Wizard had disappeared. Looking more carefully, I spotted that same Woodsman's Axe back in my inventory once again.

I reloaded (to reset the gold to 9) and a third time I went and sold that same axe, along with a Zapping Staff - thinking that, even if the axe still refused to stay sold, I would still have enough gold on hand for to recruit the wizard. This brought me up to 12 gold. I recruited the wizard yet again. Yet again, the wizard disappeared, and this time both the axe and the staff reappeared in my inventory. Checking the store, neither of those items is in the store inventory, as if I had never sold them in the first place.

The other items I had sold - including a Blunt Sword - remained sold through all of this.

Edit: All four level 1 Tutorial adventures were completed at this point, but I had not started any of the other adventures yet.

This is almost certainly related to the fix we made to stop item duplication. It's clearly stopping item sales in certain situations. Where are you selling the items from (e.g. your inventory, from the character slots, etc)? A screenshot showing the configuration when an item sale fails would be great.

    ok, more testing.

    a) Currently, I have 3x blunt swords in my inventory and 1 equipped, I go to armory, I sell those from inv for gold. I leave the armory. I re-enter, the swords are still in my inv. I don't even need to visit MP. Nothing shows up relevant in console and I can sell my Woodman's axe fine. During all these time, my warrior has 1 x Blunt sword equipped.

    b) Next, I sell the equipped blunt sword. Now my warrior has an empty slot. Then I proceed to sell 1x blunt sword from 3 in the inv. Now it stays sold. So now, shop has 2 x blunt swords and I have 2 x blunt sword in inv.

    c) Next, I equip 1 x blunt sword from inv to warrior and I sell my remaining blunt sword from inv to shop. I leave shop, I re-enter. The sword returns to my inv.

    d) I repeat c), except that I swap the equipped blunt sword from 1 weapon slot to the other (lvl 3 warrior) b4 I sell my remaining blunt sword. I leave shop, I re-enter. The sword returns to my inv.

edit: now my curiosity is stoked. I bought 2 x heirloom assegai and I repeat (c). Same thing happens, the assegai don't stay sold. I can pretty much confirm now that its got to do with multiple item instances.

I think the bug is that you can't sell an item when you have another copy of that item equipped, on any character.

Correct, tested against my wizard with 1 x zapping headband equipped and another in inv. Can't get rid of the one in inv as well. So, its not limited to weapons only.

Yeah, I can confirm that I also had copies of both Woddsman's Axe and Zapping Staff equipped on characters when I had attempted to sell duplicates of them from the inventory.

I've fixed this and will be uploading a new build today.

I recruited a bunch of lvl 1 party members to diversify my mp lineup options in mp, the priests and wizards all came with "Beginner's Staff" and "Crude healing charm" for some reason. It said they started with no items when I looked over them while still in the tavern screen, but then when I went to the keep, they had an item each? This didn't happen to the warriors I bought, so which is correct: Do new characters purchased from the campaign tavern start with items or not?

Yes, every char recruited from the level 1 tavern comes with one item. I noticed that if your party is full they go into your inactive stack and don't show the item, but when you add them to your party the item suddenly appears. Someone else recruited a ton of chars, deleted them, and then later found his inventory full of those beginner items.

K, thanks, for a moment I thought this was potentially a major duping bug rather than a minor UI bug, the only thread I checked before posting this was the "bug hunt" thread that only listed two things in it.
