The server being taken down interupted one of my matches and it was declared a loss. Therefore taking away of the of the 3 chances to beat it. I understand not wanting people to "game the system" by dashboarding when losing is inevitable, but can something be done to manage sessions when the outage originates from your end?
A lot of us testers have suggested that they add better save functions (so you don't autolose on dc et c), it's on their list of things they want to add if possible. However, if you fail all 3 attempts, you can just retry the adventure from start - while this might be annoying, at least you get the benefit of extra loot!
Okay, great. So long as the 3 strikes aren't fatal to the characters. The only thing hurt is my ego. As an aside, have they considered a gameplay version/track where 3-strikes in a module could be fatal? No restart. In D&D there was always the possibility of a character or party being wiped out permanently. Disintegration spell, overwhelmed, etc. Would make it a more compelling option.
Once you've beaten an adventure - the challenge quests are unlocked (like you might have noticed), some of them are close to that - No Char Death (game over if anyone dies at all), and 1 HP. Also, a lot of testers have suggested no healing or resurrection between adventures as something that'd make a great new challenge - feels more realistically difficult than the insane 1 Hp one. If you're suggesting permanent char death , I doubt that's an option they'll go for - unless they add like an optional hardcore mode for parties a la Diablo. Which could actually be interesting!
Exactly...hardcore mode. After we play through it, people are going to want another challenge. I like the idea of the HP carryover from battle to battle.
