Was in an MP game with theSovereign (All hail the sovereign!!! :p). He casted smoke cloud, retreated out of the cloud and tried to charge in to kill my 4hp dwarf wizard. But the range of charge stopped short on the 2nd square into the cloud, which is a weird distance. No screenshot but it shouldn't be hard to repro this.

edit: There is alr a thread about this: http://www.cardhunter.com/forum/threads/smoke-cloud-charge.541/ but the problem is different from encountered there.

If it was the first square of cloud i could see some reasoning behind it but no idea about the second sorry.

Did it stop 1 square before the dwarf possibly? I mean, the charge could count as targetting the wounded dwarf, and that's negated by the cloud 'ennit? Just guessing though.

Does Smoke Cloud overwrite terrain? If so, maybe there was difficult terrain that couldn't be seen.

On a related question, should Smoke Cloud really be negating the movement at all? For that matter, Charge in general? After all, line of sight doesn't stop movement, and you're not targeting an enemy, so it shouldn't stop any part of the movement from Charge. If you are next to the enemy, there's no line of sight issue, so why shouldn't the damage affect the target?

I'm guessing Charge checks LOS to your destination, which probably isn't right. I'll check into it.

I can't seem to repro this. If anyone can, please post a screenshot!
