I don't think that a deck that wants grudge also wants lava pool.
Might be worth it in pathfinding builds since there's no way to pick up both grudge and a trait on the same arcane item and all the double trait staves are tokenless, so conflating your grudges on as few items as possible makes sense.

You can even more simply take only 2 grudge in the full deck with this arcane item since you don't need to have so many grudge. And your thought about token in deck are still true since you can take any staff that does not use double major token to take place for a single major token arcane item :) Maybe is the best item for Ancient Grudge.

About using laval pool and Grudge in the same deck... both card work well with teleport opponent since you can both stall and deal damage. The problem is when all your arcane item use Ancient Grudge since teleportation become much harder when facing a team with many move card.

So... I'm sitting on 31k gold, and it's beginning to dawn on me that the perfect RR with Heartripper and Final Sword and all the items in my wish list will probably never come. As my long term goal is to catch 'em all I've decided to buy at least one missing legendary each week, just to keep my collection and the local economy going. I got a cool Staff Of The Arctic last week, this time I'm asking for your counsel fellow hunters. Thanks for your attention.

    Mathilda's Locket

    Vengeful Ethereality
    Volkov's Warmask

Note: while I haven't played PvP in a year (though one day I will surely return) I do play constructed leagues. Little Adventurine Shards mark the most interesting items In My Humble Opinion.

For me Volkov's Warmask would be instabuy; it's the only item in the game outside of the class skills that has a form card. Also the other cards are solid.

It would also be cool to collect the whole set of Volkov's gear

@Rohndil: Buying one missing legendary each week, sounds like a good plan in your situation. :)

If DD doesn't give anything more useful, I'd choose either one of your pre-picks or j3st3ri's choice.

Boxton's Razorstaff: I've had fun and some success with this on the Chess Madness league. This is also the staff of choice to pair with Twizel's Water Talisman, if you absolutely want to max out Flash Floods.

However, usually I don't need / want both FF and PoK on the same build, so I prefer cheaper arcane items (Bimson's Water Stone & Blood Locket / Bloody Bracelet / Booming Ring / Sarigo's Rod)

Mokad's Unholy Tome: IMHO Gloomthirst, Mokad's Reeking Skull (and Zod's Vile Spaceplate) have better Unholy Energy / bad card ratio. Also, don't be afraid to run Incense Of The Caged Demon, especially on a dwarf support priest.

Volkov's Warmask: Unique like j3st3ri said, but only get / use this, if you want to max out Lycanthropic Form, because that major token cost is quite steep. Other cards are solid, but IMHO there are better choices for major token helmet, if you're not looking for that extra form card.

The little min-maxer in me would suggest you to stick with Howling Lycanthropy or Reckless Lycanthropy and save that major token for something more impactful than the Warmask.

@Rohndil getting multiple force cones for minor token requires the robe slot or legendary gear(3 arcane items and 2 staves) , so you might want to check your inventory to see how many items with it you have.

Fwiw, if your goal really is to get one of every item (very difficult, but it is actually achievable) the approach is much different than simply buying good items. You're starting down the right path with "1 a week," but it's not actually what I recommend.

As you get closer and closer to 100%, there will be less and less to buy each week, and more and more items that you sell as you're already maxed on them. This means your gold income grows at an increasing rate as you approach 100% completion. However, the number of legendaries you see in the shops each week is constant, and the number of unowned legendaries will decrease each week the closer you get to completion. So ultimately you're going to find your gold in excess and your buying options dwindling. And the faster you move to 100% the faster this will occur. What does this all mean? It means that its actually not worth being conservative in your gold rationing, but you actually want to be fairly aggressive.

My recommendation is to come up with an estimate of the absolute most number of legendaries you think could possibly hit in a single week that you would absolutely want (not one's you don't own, but the "have to have them type") and hold back only that much gold. This number is going to vary somewhat by the person, for me I decided it was 4 legendaries (1ok gold) which was probably still overly conservative. Then just buy every legendary you see that you don't own as long as it doesn't drop you below that amount. While it may seem counter-intuitive to blow your gold, remember the more you buy, the less you'll spend in the future. The fact is ultimately you don't end up fighting available gold, you end up fighting whether you see the legendary in the shop or not. That's why buy now is almost always worth it once you have a decent gold bank.

One last note, if you play a lot of SP, and you're going to prioritize legendaries, I'd buy legendaries of levels you don't play much.

Just my thoughts from a previous 100%-er.

@Tyro: I agree with Gringrich. Unless you really want to play with Antimagic Skin right now, don't buy anything.

I was lucky to get three new CM legendaries to my RR: Crazy Sal's Creepers, Focused Rapidity and Nightstalker's Shield. I'm going to buy them all, even though it means selling some of my treasures.

I have seen quite a few players using Crazy Sal's Creepers but I dont see how it is better than other minor token boots.

Also I got two Nightsalker's Shields from chests but I only use one when co-oping for a bit of fun - its too random and has a higher chance of giving you something bad rather than good (ie. werewolf).

Crazy Sal's are good when you need both the free move and the buff expecially if you have no priest in team. So in map where free move is good they are good :) If you need no move card of course costing a token can reduce your weapon power or your defense...
Of course look like the best of boots with Prowl.

This week I immediately bought Silver Lightning. It was in the daily deal awhile ago, and umm-ed and ahh-ed about getting it - eventually I decided to skip it, and I've been regretting it ever since. So I'm glad to have been given the opportunity to purge that regret!

The rest of Randimar's offering were a combination of junk and things I already have.
