I just got this game and tried the co-op. It was very enjoyable, but I wasn't sure what the benefit of playing co-op was. So I did some digging and found out that the only real benefit of playing Co-op is of course fun, and chance at extra reward. However there's a major drawback where only one of your characters, rather than three, will get the experience. Personally, the fact that one of my character will out level others is a deal breaker for me. I considered leveling a warrior through co-op so have a meatier tank for my cleric and wiz, but there's really no need. I'm passing campaigns just fine without having to do them over.

I loved the co-op experience, but two of my characters were left in the dust in the experience department. It's quite unfortunate. So why not allow co-op games to provide experience points to two more designated characters as well?

    Welcome to the game!

I think allowing characters you aren’t actually using to gain XP is a can of worms the game is unlikely to open. But there are a couple of ways you could deal with the issue you’re having. You can have many, many characters, so you could just use character(s) as your dedicated co-op character(s) so that your main party can all advance in sync. Or you could just rotate which character you use for co-op.

But the fact that one of your characters is higher level than the others doesn’t stop them from adventuring together, and higher-level characters get less experience from lower-level adventures (or none, if they’re at least two levels over the level of the adventure). Even if you just keep going with your mismatched party it's possible that your other characters will eventually catch up to the one you're using for co-op.

Thank you for the honest and constructive feedback.

Actually all of mentioned did go through my head, but the thing is I'm a stickler for identical progression for my characters, and because I'm a new player I'm trying to prioritize on getting leveled up and the gears that come along with it. However it does become an issue when I keep seeing "lfg" prompt on chat, and I'm so very tempted to join. I would join if I had lots of time to play but because my playtime is so limited, I have to use my time as efficiently as possible. It's a shame but it looks like it'll be a while before I can begin enjoying co-op games. When my characters have advanced enough for my standards, I'll create a character dedicated for co-op. Thanks.

I think you should add a trade system with friends so that if you get good armor for a build you are not doing, you can trade it with your friends who's build is for that specific armor

Some sort of item pooling might only be imagineable as temporary during that one adventure /co-op-session. Permanent trading is out of the question for all its negative implications. Not to mention this game is about hunting down the stuff yourself.

Yeah, this would cause way too much abuse. As many people can attest, there's plenty of people who make extra accounts without much trouble at all.
Now, you have 3 accounts, have all do loot fairy together in co-op, and trade all those good stuffs to main account (who trades stuff bought from shops). Nope....trade will never be in this game.
