I hope Destructive Purge is not on the winning item, I think it has been itemized so poorly intentionally because of how good it is.

I disagree. Yes, it's strong, but any range 6 attack which requires line of sight must have something going for it (think fire spells, Fragility, etc.). It's clearly not like burst. It does not replace old handicaps with new ones to "cycle" to the ones you want.

Besides, I've been waiting to see a deck that could counter both Burrft and nimble dwarves.

I was looking at the amazing chat that @Pawndawan put up, and I noticed something. The bare hands icon for each of the three classes are playing rock-paper-scissors.

What's the schedule for Aloyzo's Arsenal? When should the contest be opened, item be released, etc? Or is there none?

Should be a matter of weeks til the current rounds item finds its way into a release. So... do hold your breath!

 

It roughly coincides with the montly-ish CH build release. (New Manticore, AA item release, any other changes.) There is usually an announcement about a new build on the test server a few days before it goes live. The test server has been closed to the public since the last build test, so they are probably still busy working their latest project, and it may be slowing down the next release.
TL;DR - The new AA contest should start shortly after the next build release.
