I opened my stocked up prizes before entering shop: Got Focused Thinker as my first item from my first magnificent chest, next legendary was Searing Pain - I was hoping to get another from RR but sadly not. Then I started opening my Epic chests, first chest I open is a double legendary - in total I got 8 legendaries from 15 epic chests Sadly no SP but I did get a few random but interesting items in shop today: Amulet Of Blades Orb Of Eex Perrio's Kinetic Robes The Hackmaster The Irradiator Anything worth buying?
IMHO, only the Kinetic Robes, if you don't have them yet. Easily the best robe for a control wizard, and just for a blue token. You can spend the yellow tokens on staves or skills.
Did you try it? Scatter Laser should hit very hard, especially on the open maps. I guess Savage Curse will allow you to dump the bad cards to pump the Scatter Lasers.
Fumble isn't the worst of the Handicaps. Just imagine the power you'll bring to the "handicap only" quests!
Bug Zapper 2000: If you're planning on Savage Cursing Scatter Laser, those other cards are not that bad. Fumble is awkward, but you should try to get it to discard walk or some other paper card. On average, it only does one extra damage / target over Arcane Burst and requires LoS to every target. Other than Laser Spray, the malfunctions are bad too. Huetotl's Firebrand: I think one is enough. I would spend other major tokens for shield, divine item and racial support. Perrio's Kinetic Robes: Some leagues might benefit from multiple copies, but usually I'd like Asmod's Telekinetic Chain instead. The LunginatorGrats! Now only the sky is the limit. Amulet Of Blades: I would run Blood Locket, Bloody Bracelet or Booming Ring instead. Would not purchase. Orb Of Eex: Just the right mix for Savage Cone build in Death March. I like it! Perrio's Kinetic Robes: Quite good. Festive Robe is just around the corner, if you want it but are short on gold at the moment. The Hackmaster: I wouldn't pay to upgrade Weak Strike to Pulverizing Hack. The Irradiator: Fun and really unique. This would be my first pick out of your list of legendaries.
I don't consider it wise to compare Scatter Laser with Arcane Burst. If you're going to play at the map with lots of blocking terrain, you simply wouldn't play Scatter Laser there You play it on the maps with open victory area and the opponent has either to move in or to lose. And Scatter Laser rules there. You aren't going to hit more than one enemy with your Arcane Burst, at least after the first one, but you are still going to hit all the enemy team with Scatter Laser. And you'll never have to hit your teammates if the victory area is crowded in order to hit the enemies. I guess the Scatter Laser is going to dominate the three-wizard teams. The wizards need LoS themselves, and moving forth and back every turn is difficult. Unfortunately, the Bug Zapper 2000 is overcosted for an item with three bad/unneeded cards. I guess I'll wait for a Repulsor Raygun. I could buy it several times but refused. To gain any significant advantage of it, you need to equip all your team in Arrogant Armor, which will cost a yellow token for each of them. To get a consistent deck, you need at least two Irradiators, which is two more yellow tokens. And, most importantly, Radioactive Spray has only 4 range which forces you to place your priest too close to the enemies. If he would get killed, the entire party crashes as a card house. I am a big fan of crazy builds, but this idea is too crazy even for me.
wrong wording in any deckbuilding context, but ill keep it to the rad terrain: You can A move, B cleanse or C even purge handicaps. But cleansing rays to pick up stray tiles is the tightest solution to the spray randomness. Also there are the "gizmo" priest weapons and quite strong items that provide you with a sufficient amount of goo/spray, the irridiator is just nice2have.
I'm still torn. I have 1 of both Darkblood Glaive and Crazy Sal's Halberd and I have them on my Randi. I mainly tend to use warriors, but Darkblood Glaive is amazing for SP farm. What do I pick.
Unless you have a great build that needs another Sal's, I'd recommend Darkblood. I admit I'm somewhat biased toward farming, though. That's how I got my Sal's.
Three pair of boots and God's Rage are new legendaries for me this week. I might get Kelharin's Clogs just in case I want to run The Softener on Elf Warrior and I can spare a minor token for boots. Gzellin's Boots & Suvv's Boots Of Escape and duplicate legendary item selection are all meh, so I think I'll skip the rest.
This week, I'll be buying my second Staff Of The Arctic, my sixth Deadly, Deadly Staff, my fourth Igneous Scorchstaff, and my fourth Xemu's Crown. And of course, my first Heartripper, which was already purchased. I have no clue what priest and warrior item's are in there. Sorry...oh wait, I'll check. There appears to be multiple parts of Glasod's body, and some icy, icy shield. No clue if I should be buying them or not. I'm happy Randimar decided to restock the week I'm on vacation, ha.
Some cool stuff here. Think i'll go with boots.. Robes Of Avak Seth Spear Of St. Qaith Staff Of The Arctic The Irradiator Captain Cedric's Boots Mokk's Boots Holy Hellyn's Breastplate Bloodfoot Wand
Grats on the arcane selection, @gulo gulo! Captain Cedric's Boots > The Irradiator > Staff Of The Arctic > I wouldn't even consider getting anything else on that list. Captain Cedric's Boots are the best Team Walk boots there is. Radioactive Spray might not be that strong, but The Irradiator is the way to go, if you ever want to try it. You usually want to get your Cone Of Colds from arcane items, but if you ever want to pair Smoke Bombs or something else mostly found on arcane items with Cone of Cold on the same wizard, Staff Of The Arctic is the staff to go.
I got the boots. This week RR: Troll's Ire Robes Of White Wylla Klonox's Warper Hylithia's Robes Hawkwind's Moccasins Bynzer's Weighted Club
