Don't forget Cooling Laser!

 

It doesn't have Encumber.

 

It says "Cold" in it. Flax said cold-themed on the last page. I think it's safe to say that it's valid.

 

But what about an item with a few cooling lasers and a demonic miasma?

 

As long as you also have an attack with Encumber you are good.

 

Nice. I was waiting for a chance to submit a Cold staff that doesn't use major tokens. Although didn't think that would be like the entire theme...

 

i wouldnt bank on any assumptions or ever dare to interpret Flaxes restrictions again.
As i get it, the greatest thing that could have been done to a cold wiz is right off the table, putting cooling laser and two spark inductors on a minor token arcane skill.

 

I submitted a fighter helmet.
I know it's off the charts, but i like it better and it's more imaginative.

I can't decide if it's more far fetched to put lava pool on an arcane item or a cold spell on a robe.

My guess is that pool on an arcane item is less realistic, but maybe I'm overvaluing it.

Lava pool on a double major token staff might work, maybe even 2...

 

If i was aiming for a powergaming item, i'd 'go for :
Freeze // Frost Jolt // Slowed on an arcane item, call it a hardened snow ball

 

The developers have spoken before about anything long range on arcane items having a max damage of 2, I believe. So Chilling Rime might work, but not Freeze or Frost Jolt. Jumpspark works as well.

 

Arcane items already have wall of fire and volcano, I think lava pool is fine on arcane items.

 

"Fine"? It is an Emerald quality. I think that's pretty over the top then. Do any Arcane Items have Emerald quality cards?

 

Yeah, you know, Accelerate Time, Hypnotic Beacon...

 

Well, I don't consider "Accelerate Time" fine. But yeah, forgot about Hypnotic Beacon.

 

Also Dual Beacon.

 

Admittedly I missread the guidelines as it said it explicitly had to be an attack with encumber, so I will have to change things around. But I'm chill about it, I'll just white it out and brainstorm something cooler

 

"this month's restriction: cold theme, must include an Encumber attack card" -- He says in one post "magic item" and in another "Encumber attack" without mentioning magic item. Bit confusing. Can we get clarification on this? Does it have to be a magic item and does it have to be an Encumber attack or can it be just an Encumber card (like Icy Block)?

 

These silly newfangled EttSC cards. Back in my day we didn't have no emerald quality cards on magic items! We had to get our VPs with just gold!
