    Yes, that's correct.*

*Offer only available in Colorado, Washington, and Forest of Souls.

  6. Brobat

    Brobat War Monkey

I'm glad to see that the theme I was going for was appreciated, and I also enjoyed the other flavorful submissions.

If I were to vote for an item other than my own it would be Pressing Problems. Both cards used in its design work well together thematically and mechanically, which is a huge win. The item rewards the player for having good positioning and helps them to get into those good positions. In my opinion I think it was the best design submitted.

Lot's of good options, well done everyone! :) I have to think about my vote a bit more.

I'm not sure I understand, but there are Shieldpopper & Trickster's Blade. Not exactly the same, but similar.

Alright, time to dissect the items, to see the pros and cons of each one! Note that this is all my opinions, so when I judge Pressing Problems to be the best item of the selection, feel free to ignore it. I might put up part two sometime, but the second half of the items didn't seem quite as attention grabbing to me. We'll see how much time I have.

Name: Looked it up, it's the name of a type of sword.
General Idea With The Cards: The sword goes pointy end around blocks and from a distance in while occasionally deflecting attacks.
Closest Equivalents: Raxcotl's Hammer, Itotia Blade, The Lunginator
Is It The Best Choice In A Situation: It's a bit too diverse to stand out as the best for anything. Expect to see this rating a lot for this kind of item, but it's not particularly a bad thing.
Would I play it: Probably not! The step attacks are probably going to hit parries before the hard to block attacks, and if I want parries on a weapon for a major and a minor I'm probably gonna go with Warrior's Mace or Blocking Mace.
Final Rating: Cool sword, but I don't think it has much to stand out from all the other swords in my armory.

Name: It's a joke! I will never not submit an item with jokes in the name, get used to it.
General Idea With The Cards: You move the opponent, then you move yourself. That's what every card it has does.
    Closest Equivalents: Riptide, Dancer's Dagger
Is It The Best Choice In A Situation: I can see this being used in leagues with heavy fighting over victory terrain, or, heaven forbid, actual ranked when fighting over victory terrain. Depends heavily on the map, but if you want Pressing Bash, you couldn't do better.
Would I Play It: Of course I would, I made the thing after all. Not gonna let a free copy go to waste.
Final Rating: 11/10, make me weep tears of joy. When submitted, cherubim descended from the sky and blasted Vuvuzelas while I did a backflip in victory.

Name: It's another joke! Joke names are the way to go folks, it gets you far in life.
General Idea With The Cards: You spin, things happen to everyone around you and yourself.
Closest Equivalents: Boarding Laser, Bloodchopper, Nova Axe
Is It The Best Choice In A Situation: If you want to murder things with your eyes closed or you're surrounded, this is the weapon for you!
Would I Play It: If only High Mountain Pass allowed you to use TWO major tokens. Still would use against high level swarm enemies.
Final Rating: It hits all of the things I think an AA item should be! I'm not gonna be too mad if this wins.

Name: Makes sense. It's a weapon that keeps people away from you.
General Idea With The Cards: Escort the enemy out the door.
Closest Equivalents: Pressing Problems, Rotting Club
Is It The Best Choice In A Situation: I'd use this in a drawback quest, except for all those weapons with Blind Rage. Maybe in leagues where Rotting Club just isn't enough.
Would I Play It: I haven't made a deck for Waterways yet, so no.
Final Rating: Vote for this if you want more pressing bash, but are afraid that too much will ruin the meta and bring Cardhunter to a premature end. I wouldn't be mad if it won, except it's in competition with my OWN submission and therefore is STEALING MY VOTES.

Name: A helmet for an angry person with no social graces. It works!
General Idea with the Cards: Angry person smashes you while not being able to turn his neck due to huge helmet.
Closest Equivalents: Helmet Of Thorns, Angry Jack's Helmet
Is It The Best Choice In A Situation: This is the only helmet with Frenzy Aura. You want max Frenzy Aura, this helmet delivers.
Would I Play It: It takes a lot to tear me away from Helmet of Thorns and Angry Jack's for offensive helmets, and this has the potential to do it.
Final Rating: Very Cool Helmet, would not be very mad if it wins.

I think you missed the Purificatier. Warriors really need a reliable source of buff removal. :-P

  10. Magic Elves

    Magic Elves Thaumaturge

I went down the list posted with all the cards on it, because I couldn't be bothered to check elsewhere. I'll be doing part two eventually. Feel free to pitch in with your opinions if you can't wait, I know you got loads somewhere :p

Here is a quick opinion on the items:
Pressing Problems: I weapon all about movement and strong too but I don't find this very special because neither the name synergizes(Disorienting Block isn't a pressing problem), nor do I see a sweet theme. So this is a strong submission no doubt, but doesn't compete for the best of the list.
Barbaric Helmet: I do like that this does make War Cry better itemized but this feels a little under par, but this has a fun theme. A very strong submission.
Main Gauche: There is a legendary very similar to this, it has a surging shield block instead of a lunging strike, but the theme is great, and there are other shields with lunging attacks, but this isn't very useful. I don't think this adds much so I wouldn't put my vote on this.
Hu La Houp's Vicious Circle: A unique and effective weapon, effective for killing invisible spiders and usable against mobs of enemies, but I don't find this very special. Vote for it if you want it, but I don't.
Colichemarde: Nicely themed but I wouldn't ever use this, it being at the lowest level for costing a major and minor and the parry doesn't make up for that. Nicely themed but unuseful, I don't like useless items so I wouldn't vote for it.
Ranger's Hood: Great theme and the item is actually useful, Thick Hide Armor is really sweet because it like hardy mail but you get the bonus utility of a move 1, dodge is great when you dodge an attack with it but even if you don't it can still be used as a walk. "Scamper, Team!" is overrated but the other cards make up for that. An awesome submission, you should consider voting for it.
Matador's Cloth: Themed items are fun but its more fun when it is also useful. This is themed but not useful. Again I wouldn't vote for an item just because it is themed when you can get both themed and useful items.
Bouncer's Gloves: Excellently themed and the cards are all good except the wimpy is questionable. But even wimpy isn't that bad being a black rated trait(for warriors). I think this is awesome and usable, I even voted for this.
Purificator: A themed item and it is usable, startling strike is quite weak but purging strike can be a very desirable card, also being at level 7.5 does make it costs the minor. A useful and themed item, you should consider voting for it.
Master's Rapier: nicely themed and it is even playable but against wizards or in most of the campaign this will be really ineffective. A very strong submission.

Scar of the Hero seems so overpowered to me.
"Avenging touch" heals more than "team heal" when combo-ed with mass frenzy and twice as much as "spear of darkness"
i thought there was a reason to having only 1 at most on divine items.
Now we get 2 and some card cycling for free.
    I'm gonna run a 3 vampire-priest team with 3 of each since it's uncommon.

+ Storge's Proboscis is also vampire friendly....

[EDIT] avenging touch is basically a 9hp attack (-3 to opponent +6 to you) with mass Frenzy, it becomes 15 hp attack (-5 to opponent +10 to you) adds blind rage : 21 hp attack ... with a cantrip effect.

If it's cantrip, Talented Healer is in play, so it would add another 2 points for healing the attacker. However, this is a best-case scenario. Armor would remove 3 points for each point of damage prevented, and characters can only be healed to their maximum. I agree Avenging Touch is definitely strong, but it requires ideal circumstances to get the maximum buffed point value you described.
I don't know if Scar of the Hero is overpowered, but I definitely want 9 copies so I can test it thoroughly.
(Is this the item @Flaxative liked, but thought was UP?)

Great job all! I am having such a hard time voting! There are several weapons on the list that I would love to see in the game. And the non-weapon submissions on the short list are great too!
Flax nailed exactly what I was thinking with my item design in the video. Thanks @CT5 and @Flaxative . Another wonderful experience all around!

No, I was originally going to pick a different item from the shortlist. I think Scar of the Hero is in a really good place power-level-wise. Totally playable, but also competing with double nimbus/double martyr items for the same token cost.

...So right now I'm using Sparky wizards, aside from when I want to get first 6 chests and I shifted onto making some new decks, rarely seen or not seen at all. I'm also a huge fan of huge power, and that's basically my voting criteria. Power or something innovative.

I felt like voting for my own item isn't the best sport, so I voted for the Barbaric Helm. I COULD go with the Purificator, but I've yet to get Focused Crushing from Randi/Daily/anything.
