Since I don't think this would at all affect gameplay, could you give us a way to rename characters? I gave some really "placeholder" names to a few of my guys, and would really like to be able to change their names. One reason is that I wanted to give a different gender to one of them, and the current name would not fit.
I recall you can change the names already. I think there's a pen icon next to the name in the char selection screen. At least it's there when you've changed your avatar's model.
Don't. You need a much better reason than this. Be patient and wait for one. I know I find better reasons depressingly often.
