Heavy armor

Heavy Armor I suspect should be armor/drawback but instead its armor/Boost which makes absolutely no sense as the card currently works. It also seams like it counts as a attack for the purpose of Blind Rage.

I just noticed this myself and I'm also baffled why is this card considered as a "armor + boost" card for years?!?

It would be cool if this would be considered "armor + handicap" instead, like Wozarg already suggested several years ago.

If I had to guess, I would say encumber one isn't bad enough to consider it to count for equip-items-only-with-a-drawback-card quests?

That or maybe the card used to be different?

I don't think quests should determine whether it is mislabeled or not.

There've been multiple threads about this. Strictly speaking it's a bug and it should be fixed. That said, we probably won't change it super soon. Maybe next time we rebalance things. Keep in mind this also affects whether or not Radioactive Pulse can put it in your hand.

Why not? I've been stripped of cards and drawn Raging Strike from Radioactive Pulse. If you have an enemy adjacent, it' a pretty ideal handicap to get. Having Heavy Armor available would not significantly affect the chaotic pandemonium, IMO.

No reason not, I was merely stating a fact.

Purely technical question: is the "boost" classification necessary to properly trigger the encumber, or would it still trigger fine if the card were classified as purely an armor card (and not a drawback)?

The classification of cards don't matter for activation and like purposes but does matter for cards that do stuff based on the classification(boiling armor or radioactive pulse). I might be wrong though.

That is something, @esthkol and @timeracers. Soothing Darkness could probably get away with being an Assist|Attack hybrid since you encumber your target, an undesirable effect. Compare to Savage Curse, a non-damaging Assist|Attack hybrid. My point is simply that the card types seem arbitrary on the tech level, chosen manually 1. for the sake of players understanding the cards at a glance and 2. as Flaxative pointed out up above, for the tech interactions they give each other. I could be wrong, too, of course.

Or maybe do it for the next expansion?
